How much torque do you recommend?

Short version:

    • #6-48 screws - 20 in-lbs, and use blue or purple loctite for best results. (For X-BOLT actions only: The (4) front screw holes are very shallow, so only use 10 in-lbs on those (4) screws.)
    • #8-40 screws - 30 in-lbs, and use blue or purple loctite for best results.

  • Alternative method: Tighten screws until snug (~3-4 in-lb), then tighten another 1/4 turn. This will get you very close to the target tightness range.

Do you still sell scope rings?

Unfortunately, I stopped manufacturing scope rings in July 2017.  I am exploring alternative, near-net casting methods that may allow me to re-introduce them in the future.

Do you have a base for ______ in stock?

I strive to keep most popular models ready for immediate shipment, but as of now, I offer over 160 different scope mounts, and 3,000+ variations. Unpopular models, or low volume variations may be made to order (typically 3-4 business days).

Can you ship internationally to me here in _____?

Probably, depending on the destination country. Scope rings and mounts fall under the jurisdiction of the Department of Commerce, and are not as heavily controlled for export as most firearms and parts. I am not responsible for determining what, if any additional import restrictions, permits, or taxes may be required in your country.

How quickly will my order ship?

Over the last six months, 78% of my orders have shipped within 1 business day, and 96% have shipped within 2 business days. Custom orders, or some large orders may require additional manufacturing time.

Summer 2022: Sales have increased dramatically post-covid, and I am doing everything possible to keep up with demand. Many, if not most bases are being machined to order, and are shipping within 3 to 4 days. Custom or large orders may experience additional delays.

I'm left handed, will your bases work for me?

Yes - most of our scope mounts are cut with symmetric loading port cutouts on the underside for ambidextrous use. * A few of my bases are cut with specific right or left loading ports by default. These are noted in their respective product descriptions. These bases my be ordered in the opposite port configuration - please specify during checkout.

I have a ____, but I don't see a mount for it listed on your site. Do you make one that fits?

Maybe. I'm always adding new bases that I've developed for customers. At any given time, there may be 5-10 different bases that I haven't had a chance to list on the website. If I don't have the hole spacing and contour information for your action, I may be able to make one from your measurements, or by copying an existing base that fits.
